Pre-Opera and Afternoon Teas
Planning on attending the Glimmerglass Opera Festival during your visit? Let us prepare for you our four-course afternoon tea! Rather than rushing to find a restaurant after your check-in (which can be done!) give yourself time to relax and unwind after your travels.

Your reserved tea will include a fresh fruit plate or garden salad, a variety of finger savories such as smoked salmon in filo cups, egg salad and chive, cucumber and herb crostini, or curry chicken with cashews and many more. Next, you'll be served our homemade cream scones with Devonshire cream and English strawberry jam. Finally you'll enjoy a dessert such as our creme brulee or pot du creme au chocolate. Of course, don't forget our bottomless teapot of some of the most delicious tea you may have ever had. Enjoy your Pre-Opera tea indoors or outdoors, weather permitting. If your group is interested in reserving a Pre-Opera tea, call us at least a few days before your arrival. We want to have everything ready for you.

We continue to serve afternoon tea for reserved groups (2 to 12 people) on most days of the week. However, we do need a few days notice, so please call ahead with a few dates in mind. At this time, we are not able to host children's tea parties. Children should be at least 10 years-old to be part of a group for tea. We do not offer children's pricing. We are not a public restaurant, so all food is prepared fresh particularly for your group. If you reserve for six people, then we prepare for six people. If you must cancel, or someone in your group cannot attend, please call us 24 hours in advance.
The price for a four-course tea is $25 per person (and includes sales tax but not gratuity, which is at your discretion). This includes a four-course meal, a bottomless pot of tea, a gift to take home with you, and our undivided attention. We want your tea to be a memorable and relaxing event, so please plan on at least 90 minutes. Afternoon Tea should be a leisurely event for you and your friends or family. It is our mission that you enjoy every moment of the experience as you step back in time.
